About the Property
A journey through time in the Keweenaw
In 2020 before the world shut down for COVID-19, we drove by the Eagle Lodge and Lakeside Resort property. The peeling stucco, fading paint, and lackluster building against a beautiful Lake Superior stuck out, and not in a good way.
Nature, connection, and adventuring responsibly
We’re humbled to be stewards of this pleasant peninsula. We are responsible for preserving not only the Fresh Coast Cabins property, but all of the natural resources that make this a place where people want to explore and adventure.
Access to outdoor recreation in the Keweenaw is vital to us all. It’s fascinating to think about the future care-takers who will follow in our footsteps, inheriting all of the hard work we’ve put in to ensure this is a place to enjoy for another 100 years.

Environmental stewardship is the key to enjoying the Keweenaw and its many wonders. In addition to constantly evolving our practices to focus on sustainable ways of hosting guests and encouraging visitors to leave no trace, we give back 1% for the Planet to local conservation organizations Keweenaw Outdoor Recreation Coalition (KORC) and For Love of Water (FLOW).

FLOW’s mission is to ensure the waters of the Great Lakes Basin are healthy, public, and protected for all. They seek to safeguard the Great Lakes, the planet’s largest freshwater lake system, by advancing public trust solutions and cutting-edge policy work.
