Cabin details
A basic, 500 sq ft Northwoods cabin with a prized screened-in porch for outdoor living, minus the bugs. You’ll find everything you need in the fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals and dine on your porch. There are two separate bedrooms for maximized privacy, making it the perfect place to get away to the Keweenaw with close family or friends.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an apartment size gas range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, utensils, pots and pans plus olive oil, salt/pepper, fair-trade coffee, and organic tea.
The half-bathroom includes a stall shower, toilet, and sink. Like many small cabins built during this era, there isn’t much room in the bathroom and the fixtures are a bit dated—a funny quirk we look forward to updating as we renovate! Sorry, no dogs are allowed in this cabin, but check out dog-friendly Cabin 5 if you want to bring Fido.

Before you stay with us, please note: Many of our cabins are rustic and small — part of being built over 75 years ago. Know that while we try hard to keep these spaces in great shape, some are a bit tired in spite of our homey touches. The grounds are grand and picturesque but also rocky and uneven. If you have mobility challenges, we recommend considering other accommodations.
Mosquitos, black flies, spiders, birds, snakes, mice, squirrels, eagles, deer, bears…. You’re in the woods – there’s a good chance you’ll see one or more from the list. We do not refund – or charge extra 🙃 for sightings.
