Cabin details
Step into a rustic-modern log cabin paradise. This 380 sq ft lakefront cabin has been fully remodeled while maintaining its outdoorsy charm. Cabin 9 boasts a private patio and fire pit for Superior hangouts with your significant other or a group of close friends or family. Its small-but-mighty layout includes one private bedroom with a queen-sized bed in addition to a full-sized pullout sofa bed in the living area. Modern kitchen appliances make dining in and preparing picnics for your adventures a delight, and an indoor gas fireplace brings the coziness factor of Cabin 9 to the next level.
The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you’ll need to cook and enjoy meals at the small dining table. Including a gas range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, utensils, pots and pans plus olive oil, salt/pepper, fair-trade coffee, and organic tea.
The remodeled bathroom includes a 48” shower, toilet, and vanity as well as new fixtures that make this rustic-modern bathroom seem bigger than it is. Sorry, no dogs are allowed in this cabin, but check out dog-friendly Cabin 5 if you want to bring Fido.
Covid Precautions: We are following CDC-approved cleaning guidelines. We ask that if you are not feeling well or are having any symptoms to please reschedule your stay & help protect our small community.
Before you stay with us, please note: Many of our cabins are rustic and small — part of being built over 75 years ago. Know that while we try hard to keep these spaces in great shape, some are a bit tired in spite of our homey touches. The grounds are grand and picturesque but also rocky and uneven. If you have mobility challenges, we recommend considering other accommodations.
Mosquitos, black flies, spiders, birds, snakes, mice, squirrels, eagles, deer, bears…. You’re in the woods – there’s a good chance you’ll see one or more from the list. We do not refund – or charge extra 🙃 for sightings.

Sunsets are EPIC
We snagged Cabin 9 last minute as a spur of the moment excursion to Copper Harbor Fourth of July week. It was spectacular. Luckily, our weather was amazing and the views were breath taking. We absolutely adored the little lakefront cabin. Our kids LOVED playing along the shoreline looking for agates + yooperlites (we actually found a few!). Cabin 9 makes it easy to sit back and enjoy nature. The view from the front porch fire pit is literally epic. The sunsets are EPIC. We didn’t miss a single one in our 3-night stay. They were awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the freighters every night as well. The hosts were so hospitable + even allowed us to plug our electric car into an outdoor outlet to get us by so we didn’t have to make the long haul into Houghton to charge. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We have already booked our next year stay but were splurging + upgrading to the Aurora Suite next time. Can’t wait to see you next year and every year to come. Were hooked and can’t wait to be called “regulars” at Fresh Coast Cabins.

Mashup of comfort and nature
This is the perfect place for a mash up of comfort and nature! The anxiety of our daily lives seriously melted away with our cell service. The place is cozy and private with an easy to use indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake. Cozy bedroom and couch area, perfect relaxation indoor and outdoor, fully functioning kitchen for use as well. Truly a gem, stay here if it is available!

A true gem
Cabin #9 was a true gem with its beautiful views and sounds. Our boys, 10 & 12, loved hunting for rocks, skipping rocks and fishing. We even found a yooperlite! The cabin was very comfortable and clean! It also has all the amenities of home minus cell/wifi- which was definitely a much needed break for all of us! It was so nice to unplug for 3 days. Bring water shoes to explore and bug spray. 🙂

A beautiful rustic retreat. Very clean and stocked with modern amenities. The location on the shore of Lake Superior can not be beat. Would highly recommend.
