Cabin details
A basic, 500 sq ft Northwoods cabin with a prized screened-in porch for outdoor living, minus the bugs. You’ll find everything you need in the fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals and dine on your porch. The cabin is setup like a studio with plenty of room for a relaxing living area, making it the perfect place to enjoy the Keweenaw.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an apartment size gas range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, utensils, pots and pans plus olive oil, salt/pepper, fair-trade coffee, and organic tea.
The half-bathroom includes a stall shower, toilet, and sink. Like many small cabins built during this era, there isn’t much room in the bathroom and the fixtures are a bit dated—a funny quirk we look forward to updating as we renovate! Sorry, no dogs are allowed in this cabin, but check out dog-friendly Cabin 5 if you want to bring Fido.
Features
Self check-in
One queen bed
Screened-in porch with Lake Superior views
Covid Precautions: We are following CDC-approved cleaning guidelines. We ask that if you are not feeling well or are having any symptoms to please reschedule your stay & help protect our small community.
Before you stay with us, please note: Many of our cabins are rustic and small — part of being built over 75 years ago. Know that while we try hard to keep these spaces in great shape, some are a bit tired in spite of our homey touches. The grounds are grand and picturesque but also rocky and uneven. If you have mobility challenges, we recommend considering other accommodations.
Mosquitos, black flies, spiders, birds, snakes, mice, squirrels, eagles, deer, bears…. You’re in the woods – there’s a good chance you’ll see one or more from the list. We do not refund – or charge extra 🙃 for sightings.

What our guests say
Absolutely had a blast
If you want to go to a place to just escape and unwind, this is the place for you. Fresh Coast cabins did an excellent job hosting us for our annual vacation trip in August. Cabins are clean and set up very nicely with everything you will need for your stay. Just bring your food and clothes. Don’t forget to bring your favorite beverage and pizza to the gathering on Friday night at the community fire pit. Plenty room for everyone to share their stories and maybe even your favorite beverage. Lynn and Jason will make the pizza for you. A definite must on Friday early evening! This was our first time in the Keweenaw and we absolutely had a blast. Check out the book in your cabin, Keweenawland, and it will be your map for the great adventures during your stay. We will definitely be back and can’t wait!

A fab screened in porch
We had cabin #6 w/a fab screened in porch. The cabin was clean and freshly painted, nice comfy beds and a hot hot shower w great pressure. But once you see your view of beautiful Lake Superior, you won’t care if you have a shower. The lake is steps away from all the cabins on a tree-fille property. Jason, one of the hosts, checked in on us right away to make sure everything was ok. The little town, scenic drives and hiking/biking trails are moments up the road. The kitchen has what you need to cook up some hot meals. I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else when my momma and I return.
